Q & A with Andrew
1Why Sarnia?
I have had the privilege to travel all over the world – this passion started after being chosen for an internship abroad while studying business at Western University. This internship helped develop a ‘travel bug’ and I have been fortunate to travel throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia. I’ve always been especially intrigued by areas that are surrounded by water.
After returning from all these beautiful places, I had a deeper appreciation for what I had left behind: a clear, blue, fresh water lake. With beautiful lakefront, lush parks, and all areas of the city no more than ten minutes from your door, Sarnia is a gem.
This city is also home to much of my family and many of my friends, so establishing a home and a career in Sarnia was an easy decision.
2Why Real Estate?
I’ve always had a passion for the business world. Being a second generation Realtor, I was familiar with the long hours and hard work it takes to create a successful business and client base in this industry.
I remember, as a youngster, getting up with my dad in the mornings and watching him get ready for work and asking him about different parts of his day when he returned. He would always comment about all the different people he met and how every day was a new day; you never knew who you were going to meet and where any of it would take you.
My business is to help find the houses that my clients are going to come home to everyday, where they will raise their family, grow old with their partner, and build their lives. The reverse side is selling their home where all those memories were made, and I understand this is a huge milestone in any person’s life. To support people in this transition, taking an organized, pressure free approach is imperative to me and I have found success in it. Every day is a new day in this business; some good, some bad, some profitable, some not. Ultimately, the opportunity to meet people and help them along their journey to buy or sell their home is what I appreciate most about this business, and I wouldn’t change that for anything.

3What's Your Approach to Business?
I understand that the home buying and selling process is a very important one. When dealing with one of life’s largest investments, I feel it is very important to be as knowledgeable as possible – after all knowledge is power!
I have invested a great deal in education, from negotiation courses, buyer representation courses, finance, management and economic courses and earning my Real Estate Broker’s licence; all to ensure that my clients are in good hands and can feel confident about their decisions.
I like to take the pressure out of the experience when possible, and I believe it’s extremely important to get to know my clients. Knowing my clients allows me to help them stay on track through the process to make sure that, at the end of the day, they are happy.
